(In the stuff I will be talking about below, remember that I'm not considering any of the two parters.
)
Okay, so I was overanalyzing the MLP episodes to find out what will happen in future seasons, and I think I've figured it out! (At least a little)
I'm 75% sure that Lightning Dust is going to return in season 5. Let me explain:
In season 1, Trixie was the villan in a Twilight episode. In season 3, two seasons later, she was a villan again in another Twilight episode.
In season 2, the Flim-Flam brothers were the villans in an Applejack episode. In season 4, two seasons later, they were the villans in another Applejack episode.
See the pattern?
I'm guessing that in season 5, a villan introduced in season 3 will return. Since Lightning Dust was the only pony I really considered to be a villan (that has been newly introduced), I'm guessing that it would be her that's returning.
If that's the case, I think I can predict possible episodes in season 6 and beyond as well.
I think that Surrey Polomare will return in season 6. Twilight, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash (possibly) would already have had one of their villans return, so Rarity, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie still needs a reoccuring villan. And if you look at the pattern, Twilight, a unicorn (at the time) had a reoccuring villan, then Applejack, an earth pony, then Rainbow Dash, a pegasus (probably). Another unicorn would have a reoccuring villan in season 6 according to the pattern.
Rarity had two antagonists in season 4: Trenderhoof and Surrey. I really don't think that Trenderhoof is (or ever will be) a villan. Surrey on the other hand, already is one. So, yeah. Surrey Polomare will return for season 6. (If I'm right.)
In season 5 Pinkie Pie would probably gain an arch-nemesis who will return for season 7, and ditto for Fluttershy in season 6, and he/she will return for season 8.
Now, if the writers decide to include Spike in this pattern, he could get a villan that will return in season 9, the last season. (from what I've heard.)
Wait...
That's it! I'm pretty sure that that's what the writers were thinking when they decided to make the show 9 seasons long! When I heard at the end of season 4 that there will be 5 more seasons, I wondered why they didn't just make a full ten seasons instead. This could be the reason why!
Do you agree with my theory? Or do you think I'm just crazy and getting way too anylytical? Personally, I think it's the latter, but let me know what you think. This is Pandora Pegasister-peace out!
